Beginning November 1, any member of North Yorkshire Credit Union who is aged 16 or over will be eligible to apply for a current account.
The current account offers an ATM card that can be used to withdraw cash from cash machines, or a debit card (for those who qualify) which can be used at shops, over the phone and on the internet. This service will enable members to buy cheaper goods on the phone or internet – which could be delivered, helping less mobile people and those in rural areas.
